MoFA condoles on demise of Kuwait’s ruling Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah

KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) in a statement, on Sunday expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Kuwait’s ruling Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. “The ministry calls the demise of Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah a big loss for Kuwait’s people and wishes great patience and reward to the late Emir’s bereaved family and colleagues,” the statement said. Sheikh Nawaf was born on June 25, 1937, in the House of Sabah, the ruling family of Kuwait. He served as the minister of interior and first deputy prime minister in 2003, became the crown prince in 2006, and succeeded the throne in September 2020, as the sixteenth Emir of Kuwait and he passed away at the age of 86 on Saturday.
