Ministry of Education of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has announced 7,252 new teachers and administrative vacant posts in 20 provinces as part of the implementation of the open competition process.
Briefing to journalists in a news conference, head of human resources and employment for the ministry of education said they have announced thousands of teachers’ vacant in 20 provinces of the country. “The Ministry of Education (MoE) in coordination with the National Examination Authority and the Independent Administrative Reforms and Civil Services Committee (IARCS) has first held entry test for 1,913 teachers’ posts in all provinces of the country,” said Bismillah Numani, director of human resources and employment for the ministry of education. He said the process has been fortunately successfully implemented as the first stage of employment of candidates are underway. He said the human resources and employment department of the ministry has offered nearly 7,000 posts whose entry test would be soon announced in eight provinces as Herat, Ghor, Badghis, Kunar, Laghman and Nuristan.
According to Numani, nearly 7,252 new teachers and administrative vacant posts, including 2,083 for women in 20 provinces as Urzgan, Bamyan, Baghlan, Faryab, Paktia, Jawzjan, Daikundi, Kunduz, Zabul, Sar-e-Pul, Logar, Nimroz, Maidan Wardak, Balkh and others have been now announced as part of the implementation of the open competition process. He said that the posts were announced already as forms were distributed by the education department in all provinces till 20 June of the current as the date was set as the deadline for the posts.
Meanwhile, the country’s deputy minister of education by pointing to the entry test for the posts said that the process would be implemented in a transparent way, asking all those meeting the conditions to make use of the opportunity and benefit from the program.
“Ministry of Education of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) is determined to offer the new posts and implement the process through open competition process across the country so that all those meeting the condition can benefit the program,” said Mawlavi Abdul Khaliq, deputy minister of education.
He said that the country’s parents wanted to see a positive change in their children’s education level; therefore, the ministry of education went for offering new teachers’ vacant posts to implement the program through an open competition process.
Meanwhile, general director of administrative affairs Mawlavi Ahmad Jan Ahmadi by praising the ministry of education for its initiative said the country’s education ministry by announcing the new teachers’ vacant posts has shown that it could bring positive change in education sector in the country.
Recalling of Shadow teachers and those not meeting the conditions within the ministry of education, Mawlavi Ahmadi said that the ministry of education would only hire those who meet the conditions and have the capabilities to teach the country’s children.
“The country’s education should be standardized and well-talents and experienced should be deployed at the ministry of education,” Ahmadi added.
In the conference, all were insisting that access to education is essential for the development of society and that everyone, including “men, women, children and the elderly,” should have access to education.
