Ministry of public works initiates reconstruction of damaged Kabul highway in Baghlan

The Acting Minister of Public Works, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Isa Sani, visited Baghlan province to address the damaged sections of the Doshi-Baghlan road, which is part of the Kabul highway in the north. Recent heavy rains and floods have caused significant destruction in the area. The visit took place in the presence of the Governor of Baghlan province, Mawlavi Abdul Rahman Haqqani. During the trip, the Acting Minister of Public Works convened a meeting with the authorities from Baghlan, Samangan, and Parwan, as well as road maintenance and monitoring heads who were invited to the site. The minister instructed the preparation of an alternative route to facilitate vehicle movement while utilizing available equipment and resources to divert water away from the road. The priority was placed on expeditiously repairing the damaged sections of the highway. Additionally, the Acting Minister of Public Works also visited the Shaikh Jalal area in central Baghlan’s Nahrin district road, which had suffered flood damage.
