Minister Muttaqi invites his Pakistani counterpart to visit Afghanistan

“In a phone call Minister Muttaqi congratulated the selection of Mohammad Ishaq Dar as Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and expressed hope that this appointment would be beneficial for improving Afghanistan’s relations with Pakistan,” the statement quoted.

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi while congratulating Mohammad Ishaq Dar his newly appointed Pakistani counterpart invited him to visit Afghanistan, Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in a statement the other day. “In a phone call Minister Muttaqi congratulated the selection of Mohammad Ishaq Dar as Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and expressed hope that this appointment would be beneficial for improving Afghanistan’s relations with Pakistan,” the statement quoted. He added that with each passing day region increasing its positive interactions and that practical work on major infrastructure projects is commencing in Afghanistan and they are looking forward to Pakistan’s constructive contribution. Also, during the telephone conversation, they emphasized providing facilitations for the movement of travelers and trade convoys through the Torkham crossing port, said the statement.
