Minister Haqqani meets Iranian ambassador

KABUL: Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan  (IEA) Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani has met with Iranian Ambassador Hassan Kazemi Qomi, here in Kabul, a statement from the ministry said Monday. In the meeting, Minister Haqqani asked the Iranian ambassador for fulfilling the bilateral agreement made about Afghan refugees and treat them well and provide necessary cooperation with them in Iran, the statement quoted. “Afghan refugees should be provided with necessary facilities and the Afghans who die in that country their bodies should be transferred on time to Afghanistan,” the statement quoted Haqqani as saying. Meanwhile, Iranian Ambassador Hassan Kazemi Qomi said that his country had been behaving well with Afghan refugees and effortshave always been made to strengthen the relations between the two neighbors. He assured that the demands of the IEA Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation and its proposals regarding the Afghan refugees based in Iran will beshared with the Iranian authorities,” the statement quoted.
