Meeting on Afghan refugees to be soon held

KABUL: Afghanistan ministry of refugees and repatriation says a quadrilateral meeting will be soon held between Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and the United Nations Higher Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) to find solution for problems facing the Afghan refugees living in neighboring countries.
According to the ministry of refugees and repatriation, the meeting is aimed to discuss problems of the Afghan refugees and find ways for solution of their problems in neighboring countries.
This comes after problems of Afghan refugees living in neighboring countries have recently increased Following recent attack on Iranian Akhunds in Iran’s Mashhad city, life for Afghan refugees has changed to worse in the country.
A range of video clips and photos that have gone viral in social media show that a number of security personnel and citizens of Iran are beating Afghan refugees, but Iranian officials have said the video clips and photos are all old.
Meanwhile, the Iranian government has stepped up deportation of Afghan refugees from the country.
Based on information of the ministry of refugees and repatriation, thousands of Afghan refugees have returned home in the past one months. In the past one week, hundreds of Afghan refugees have been also deported from Pakistan.
