KABUL: A number of the country’s artists were appreciated during a cultural ceremony held at the Bagh-e-Babur (Babur Garden) in downtown Kabul, Inamullah Samangani who is the head of Government Media and Information Center (GMIC) and attended the gathering, said on his twitter account on Wednesday.
The meeting was held with the initiation of the Deputy Ministry of Information and Culture for cultural affairs to appreciate the culturist. The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Information and Culture for cultural affairs, Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Information and Culture Minister for Publication Affairs, Hayatullah Muhajir Farahi, head of Government Dailies, Mawlavi Mohammad Ibrahim Nabil, director of Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA), Ahmadullah Wasiq, head of Afghan Film, Shafiullah Jawid, head of Archeology Sadat and some other officials, artists and culturists as well as some media people. Inamullah Samangani head of Government Media and Information Center (GMIC) praised the country’s culturists and artists and said: “In our society, the value of dead are more than those living. Here the hero is the one who has died. We have our own living heroes and diligent in front of us, but we don’t see them, but when they die, we will say that we have lost a hero.” At the end of the ceremony, a number of artists who displayed some art pieces, received cash prizes, besides being awarded appreciation letters.
