Media outlets should be impartial, MoI Haqqani

KABUL: Acting Interior Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani met with Jacky Martens, Head of South Asia Bureau of BBC and his colleagues.
During the meeting, the Acting Minister of Interior welcomed them and said that the BBC is an important media outlet at the International level.
The interior minister also said: “We want those International media outlets to have a wide area of coverage to be impartial especially about Afghanistan.”
Khalifa assured them of cooperation and added that the Islamic Emirate has achieved unprecedented developments, but unfortunately, the International media has given a political color to some non-political and internal issues. At the end of the meeting, Jacky Martens thanked the IEA interior minister and said that Afghanistan is important to them and they will try to cover many areas and developments of the country.
