KABUL: The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) has started the plantation process of various types of both fruitful and non-fruitful saplings all over the country, particularly in the tropical provinces, a spokesman of the IEA said the other day.
“Over 25 million of fruitful and non-fruitful saplings, across the country would be planted,” Inamullah Samangani, the deputy spokesman of the IEA said.
Samangani also added that 6.2 million of the seedlings were provided by the ministry itself while 14.4 million others were prepared by the Farmers Union as well as 4.4 million from the private sector.
The planting campaign has already started in the tropical provinces and will extend to other parts of the country once the climate getting warmer.
