M. Nabi becomes No.1 T20i all-rounder

KABUL: According to the ICC’s latest updated rankings, Nabi returned to the top of the T20 all-rounder rankings with 246 rating points while Shakib from Bangladesh has 243, followed by third with 221 points.

In cricket, all-rounders are those players who can both bowl and bat.
On the other hand, in T20i bowlers’ ranking, Two other Afghan sensations Rashid Khan is fourth while
Mujeeb Zadran is eighth.
Muhammad Nabi gets this position at a time when the T20i World Cup is scheduled to start on October 16 and will continue until November 13.
Most of the Afghan players who were training in the United Arab Emirates for this major cricket tournament recently left for Australia to continue their training for the mega event.
A number of other Afghan cricket players are playing in West-Indies Caribbean League (CPL), which is considered a good opportunity for them to prepare for the World Cup.
Afghanistan national cricket team will be playing in “A” group with Australia, New Zealand and
England. Two others team will join this group after qualifying for Super 12. Afghan players will play their first match on October 22 against the England cricket team.
