List A Cricket Tournament to be held for first time in Kunduz

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has informed that the seventh edition of List A Cricket Tournament is set to be held for the first time in Kunduz. The Spokesperson and Public Relations Officer of Afghanistan Cricket Board, Sayed Naseem Sadaat, in an interview with The Kabul Times correspondent said that the List A Cricket Tournament, considered as a significant part of the country’s domestic structure, would be one-day matches and the tournament record would be registered with the ICC. “The seventh edition of List A Tournament will begin this week for the first time in Kunduz at the Kunduz cricket Ground, Sadaat said, adding that the event features four teams and will showcase national-level players and other topperforming domestic players. According to the ACB spokesperson, the seventh edition of List A Tournament is set to begin this week on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, and a total of 13 matches will be played across 16 days, with the final scheduled for July 25. Sadaat further said that the tournament was aimed to be held in Kunduz to spread cricket throughout Afghanistan and each zone so that the people were further encouraged and new cricket talents were emerged. The tournament will kick off with the Maiwand Champions facing the Pamir Legends and then, Mahipar Stars with Hindukush Strikers and all will compete with each other for the title. It is worth mentioning that the seventh edition of List A Tournament will be broadcasted live by RTA Sport Channel of National Radio and Television of Afghanistan (RTA). Ziarmal Hotak
