KABUL: Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nuruddin Azizi, in a meeting with the related officials, discussed the import of liquid gas with reasonable prices and that the prices will not be increase in the coming winter.
A number of the country’s businessmen who participated in person and online meeting held at the ministry conference hall, thanked the acting commerce and industry minister for his efforts to reduce the prices and shared their views on the import of liquid gas from Iran and Russia.
The acting minister reiterated for close cooperation with the private sector and said that they were trying hard that to not allow the price of liquid gas soar up in winter.
“Therefore, we talked with Hassan Kazemi Qumi, the Special Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Afghanistan regarding the transit of oil products and the import of liquid gas from the neighboring country and he expressed his country’s readiness in this field,” said Azizi, the country’s acting commerce and industry minister.
He also asked the businessmen for expressing their views on the contract for the purchase of LPG from Iran as the harsh winter is getting nearer.
Azizi said that a list of companies importing natural gas from Iran and importing natural gas and oil from the Russian Federation should be arranged to be taken under discussion.
