Laundry soap factory inaugurates in Takhar, ministry

KABUL: A laundry soap factory worth 9 million Afghani (Some 124,200 U.S. Dollars) has been inaugurated in the country’s northeastern province of Takhar, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement Sunday. The factory has been established in Taluqan city and will produce up to 15,000 pieces of soap daily, according to the statement. With the inauguration of the factory scores of people have been provided with job opportunities. According to the source, the mentioned factory imports raw materials for soap production from Iran, Indonesia, and Malaysia, and produces laundry soaps in various forms. Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced a ban on the sale and use of laundry Vaseline in the country. The Kabul Times
