Large amount of ammonium chloride seized in Nimruz

ZARANJ: A huge quantity of ammonium chloride has been seized and two people arrested in connection to the dealing of the hazardous substance, in the country’s Nimruz province, Bakhtar News Agency reported Sunday. “Police have recovered 40,000 kilograms of ammonium chloride at a customs office and arrested two suspected people allegedly involved in dealing the inorganic compound,” said the state-run media outlet. The substance has been recovered from two transit vehicles being imported into the country, the agency quoted a police official by anonymity.  Ammonium chloride is widely used in the production of medicine and the manufacture of Improvised Explosive Devices.
