Kuwait releases 3 Afghan prisoners

KABUL: The Islamic Emirate’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a statement on Saturday
that 3 Afghan prisoners were released from Kuwait prison and returned to Afghanistan.
The ministry has recently reached an agreement with the government of Kuwait, resulting in the release
and transfer of three Afghan prisoners and sending them back to Afghanistan, a statement from the ministry
said adding the process was overseen by the Interpol police.
The individuals have previously been imprisoned in Kuwait for various crimes, said the statement.
Recently, with the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a large number of Afghan prisoners who had
been released from the prisons of Iran and Pakistan returned to the country.
