KABUL: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) was distributed hundreds of food baskets to miserable and needy people in Afghanistan’s western Herat province. The distribution process has been implemented by Tawhid Welfare Organization for Afghanistan Orphans (TWOAO) in the respective province.
The distribution process was conducted in close coordination of Herat provincial department for the Red Crescent Society (RCS).
According to the head of the department Fazil Rahman Fayaz, a large number of residents of Herat are facing with serious poverty and need humanitarian assistance.
Head of the department praised the KSrelief and Tawhid Welfare Organization for Orphans for providing and distribution food baskets to needy families in Herat.
Meanwhile, the KSrelief representative Fazlullah assured of continued assistance to the needy people of Afghanistan, adding that as a friend and brother country of Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia will soon provide thousands of needy Afghan families with humanitarian assistance.
According to KSrelief representative, 15,850 miserable and needy families have been distributed food baskets in 12 provinces of Afghanistan in the past month and the process is underway.
This comes within the framework of the relief and humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, to many needy and affected people in Afghanistan.
