Kabul, Tehran sign agreement in mining sector

KABUL: A bilateral cooperation agreement, in an official ceremony, has been signed between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Afghanistan in the mining sector, the ministry said in a statement the other day. The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce Industry and Mine head Sher Baz Kameenzada and the Office of Iran’s Engineering System at Mining Sector chief Reza Bastami signed the agreement, the statement said. The ceremony was attended by a number of Afghan and Iranian traders, the statement further said. Addressing the ceremony, Bastami said: “We will open our office in Afghanistan in the near future and the Iranian engineers will share their experiences with the Afghans in the mining sector.” According to him, more facilities have been created for industrialists in Afghanistan, and it is a vital development for economic growth. This initiative aims to facilitate knowledge exchange between Iranian mining engineers and their Afghan counterparts, enabling the sharing of valuable experiences and expertise. The Kabul Times
