Kabul Municipality removes obstacles in Qala-e-Zaman Khan road

KABUL: Clearing and removal of obstacles of the new road connecting the 60-meter road of Qala-e-Zaman Khan to Kabul Jalalabad road has been started, the Kabul Municipality said in a statement the other day. Removal of obstacles of the properties under acquisition, leveling and excavating for constructing the Qala-e-Shanan connecting road from the 60-meter road of Qala-e-Zaman Khan to the Military University on Kabul Jalalabad Road, related to the 12th and 21st districts, has been started by the Kabul municipality, the statement said. The head of the Acquisition Department of Kabul Municipality Engineer Omidur Rahman Rahmani said there are 52 properties under acquisition alongside the road, and after the acquisition, their costs will be paid to their owners, according to the statement. Rahmani added that the connecting road will be constructed in accordance with the master plan to provide the ground for the economic growth of Kabul city. After completion of clearing and removal of obstacles, construction work on the road will be started in the near future. The road with a length of 2.103 kilometers and a width of 30 meters, including the construction of drainages and other details of a standard road will be built within one year. The Kabul Times
