Kabul citywide mosques to be reconstructed, built, municipality

KABUL: The Kabul Municipality has said in a statement that the entire mosques’ buildings would be built, reconstructed and improved all over the country’s capital Kabul. According to the statement, in line with the decree of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, a joint commission consisted of representatives from the Ministry of Hajj and Islamic Affairs, Ministry of Urban Development and Lands, Ministry of Order to Virtue and Prohibition from Vice and the Kabul Municipality, has been appointed and started practical work for providing proper grounds for building new mosques and reconstruct buildings of the previous mosques across the city, the statement said. “In coordination with the streets chieftains of all 22 districts of the capital, lists of mosques needed to be built and the mosques in need of reconstruction, as well as the semi-constructed mosque buildings, would be prepared and shared with the related organs for taking the next measures,” said the statement quoting Mohammad Naser Kabiri, a senior official of the Kabul Municipality.
