Kabul city’s new master plan evaluated

KABUL: The Kabul city new master plan was evaluated in accordance with the needs of the Islamic society, Afghan culture and traditions.
Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani, acting Minister of Urban Development and Lands chaired a joint meeting to evaluate the master plan of the new Kabul city.
The meeting was attended by representatives from ministries, related departments and engineers, the ministry’s press office said in a statement the other day.
At the outset, the participant briefed about the approval of the cabinet meeting, and representatives of ministries, departments and independent institutions expressed their views regarding the new master plan to the minister saying that the plan was very comprehensive and was prepared in accordance with Islamic standards, according to the statement.
To conclude with, the needs and standards of Islamic society and Afghan culture were confirmed in the new Kabul master plan, and it was decided that detailed plans should be made in consultation with the relevant departments.
