Jawzjan athletes eyeing more encouragement from IEA

KABUL: Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi met with a number of sportsmen and wrestlers of Jawzjan province, Deputy PM Office said in a statement the other day. In the meeting, speaking on behalf of others, Pahlawan Qari Maoluddin expressed pleasure for the victory of the Islamic Emirate and said that since the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate, more attention had been paid to sports and youth, according to the statement. He also briefed about the challenges and problems, youth and athletes are facing and asked the Deputy Prime Minister for more attention to be paid for the encouragement of youths to sports and to prevent them from addiction to drugs. Deputy Prime Minister Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi welcomed the young athletes and wrestlers of Jawzjan province and said: “The blessing of freedom that the country and the Afghan nation enjoys today is due to the sacrifices and efforts of the Mujahidin with the help of Almighty Allah and the people should appreciate the blessing of freedom, according to the statement. He said that the Islamic Emirate will try its best for the promotion of health, sports and other fields and special attention will be made in accordance with the available facilities.
