Japanese aid to recent earthquake victims in Herat handed over to ARCS

KABUL: The Japanese aid to the recent earthquake victims in Herat province, has been handed over to the Afghan Red Crescent Society at Kabul International Airport, the ARCS said in a statement on Sunday. “The aid includes 2,940 blankets, 1,480 air mattresses, 250 water bottles, 210 tent doors, 21 plastic carpets and 5 water purifiers, which have been allocated to help the earthquake victims of Herat province, have been handed over to the ARCS,” the statement said, adding the aid will be distributed to the affected people in Herat province as soon as possible. After the taking palace of the recent devastating earthquakes in the western Herat province, causing huge life and financial losses to the common people, a number of foreign countries and aid agencies have announced hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars in aid to the quake-affected people, as a series of aids have arrived to the country and have been distributed to the quake-affected people.
