Japan to donate $4.46 mln to quakes-affected families in Herat

Also, the government is committed to implement a grant of 1.46 million U.S. dollars as
Japanese official development assistance through Japan-affiliated organizations, the statement quoted.

KABUL: Japan has pledged to donate 4.46 million U.S. dollars to the recent devastating earthquakes-affected families in the country’s western province of Herat, Kabul-based Japanese Embassy said in a statement the other day. “The Japanese government has decided to give emergency aid of 3 million U.S. dollars through the international organizations, providing food, health and other needs to the recent devastating earthquakes-affected families in Herat province of Afghanistan,” the statement said, adding the government of that country will stand with the people of Afghanistan and will continue its efforts to improve the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan. Also, Japan government is committed to implementing a grant of 1.46 million U.S. dollars as Japanese official development assistance through Japan-affiliated organizations, the statement quoted.
