Italy to execute health projects in Afghanistan, statement

KABUL: The Italian ambassador in Kabul, in a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, has said that his country was ready to launch health projects in Afghanistan, a statement from Arg said Wednesday. Natalia Quintavalle was quoted in the statement as saying that her country was ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in the areas of health, water, and sanitation, as she expressed happiness about the return of stability after the resumption of power by the Islamic Emirate. Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs said that Afghanistan wanted good relations based on interaction and mutual respect with the European and other world countries and that the Islamic Emirate welcomed investments in the country. He assured that the Islamic Emirate would not allow anyone to use Afghanistan’s soil against other countries. The Kabul Times

The IEA should not allow NGO’s or countries to run projects in Afghanistan. Everything must be funneled through the Afghan government. its an Sovereignty issue. Furthermore, Afghans need on the job training and only the government can be trusted to provide that at this time.

No more foreign help.
