Islamic governance promotion program launched in Badghis

KABUL: A program for the promotion of Islamic governance was held by the department of Information and Culture of Badghis province in cooperation with the National Social Organization of Youth in the conference hall of the Ulama Council of the province, the other day, a state ment from the provincial Ulama Council said. Religious scholars, civil society members and media representatives participated in the grand program, according to the statement. At the beginning of the meeting, the Director of Information and Culture of the province, Akhundzada Mutiullah Muttaqi, spoke about the promotion of Islamic governance and also gave the participants of the meeting the recommendations and instructions of Amir-ul-Momineen. Later, the Head of Badghis Province Ulema Council, Sheikh Al-Hadith Al-Hajj Mawlavi Muhammad Maruf, said in his speech: “We have the responsibility of promoting Islamic governance and there are two laws in the world, Sharia law and non-Sharia law and we must obey Sharia law,” a statement from the Ulama Council qouted.
