JALALABAD: An irrigation canal was inaugurated in eastern Nangarhar province, late on Saturday, Mawlavi Abdul Sattar Mohammad head of provincial agriculture and irrigation department said. Costing 6,500,000 Afghani (73,385 U.S. dollar), the 9-kilometer canal has been built in Momand Dara district of Nangarhar province, where Mohammad said more than 2,100 acres of lands would be irrigated.
