Iranian companies to invest in housing sector in Afghanistan

KABUL: The Iranian investors have shown interest in investing in the housing sector in Afghanistan, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing said in a statement the other day. According to the statement, a number of Iranian investors in a meeting with Shaikh Hamdullah Nomani, said that they are interested in implementing urban development and housing projects in Afghanistan, based on their previous experience in other countries. The Iranian investors stressed that they have already implement ed similar projects in Oman, Uzbekistan, and Iraq and are ready to invest in the housing sector in Afghanistan, the statement said. Meanwhile, Shaikh Hamdallah Nomani, the Acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, welcomed the Iranian traders’ interest in investment and stated that the Islamic Emirate has provided special facilities for foreign investors in the country. Shaikh Nomani asked Iranian traders to follow up on their investment requests through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, traders from many countries have invested in various sectors in Afghanistan. The Kabul Times
