Installation of security cameras helps improve security in Kabul city

KABUL: At least 15 security cameras have recently been installed in some key parts of Kabul, in a bid to improve the security of the capital city. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Interior, the 15 security cameras have been installed in areas around the populated district 15 of Kabul city, where people have repeatedly asked the related officials to step up for the security of the district, amid growing influence of elements disturbing the security of the residents. The Islamic Emirate security forces are making efforts to foil any activities leading to insecurity in the country as the officials have already installed a number of security cameras around the capital. “The series of the installation of security cameras around the Kabul city, is going on and the officials are working to install the cameras in crossroads and roundabouts to monitor the capital’s security situation,” said the statement adding the security cameras’ installation process is part of the five-year strategic plan of the ministry. Expressing pleasure over the measure made by the country’s security organs, particularly, the Ministry of Interior, a number of Kabul residents said by this security will get better. “We are happy to see our security is tightened, especially, when security cameras are installed all around the capital’s populated areas,” Faisal told The Kabul Times. The installation of more security cameras is highly needed in the city, but in addition, those involved in insecurity; such as theft, robbery, kidnapping, or other kinds of insecurity should be taken into after being arrested.
