Kabul: Based on the Decree of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate Shaikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, Ulema councils have been established in seven provinces of the country, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, Zabihullah Mujahid, said in a statement the other day. Mujahid said that councils aiming to improve and develop Islamic governance by consulting religious scholars have been established in Laghman, Sar-e-Pol, Ghor, Daikundi, Maidan Wardak, Bamyan and Nuristan provinces. The councils would also enhance coordination in government affairs, he added. The decree emphasizes that the officials and members of the Ulema councils of the said provinces are asked to coordinate the affairs of the provinces in accordance with their bill of responsibilities and in light with the Islamic Sharia.
