IEA ready to begin TAPI project, Deputy PM Beradar

KABUL: Deputy Prime Minister of the IEA on economic affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar, met with the CEO of the TAPI Pipeline Gas Company Muhammetmyrat Amanove and Turkmen Ambassador here in his office the other day.
Both sides discussed the implementation of the agreement on TAPI project between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan and start of its practical works.
In the meeting, Deputy PM Beradar said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is fully ready for the start of the TAPI project.
“Current situation in Afghanistan is a good opportunity to begin TAPI’s practical works,” said Deputy PM adding that the Islamic Emirate was completely ready to begin the mega-project and is committed for any kind of support.
The CEO of the TAPI Pipeline, thanked Deputy PM, who is also leading the Afghan TAPI Project Committee. He further stated that Ashgabat will host the TAPI project’s steering committee meeting at the state level in the near future.
