The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) is making effort to turn the country into the hub of economy and regional connectivity. Besides, the Islamic Emirate is working to steer the country towards complete self-sufficiency to address challenges and problems facing the people in the country.
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi in his recent meeting with foreign-based Afghan experts, traders and a number of women of the Islamic invitational societies in Kabul said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was making effort to turn Afghanistan into the hub of the economy and regional connectivity, get rid of dependency and steer the country towards complete self-sufficiency.
“The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) is planning to step towards turning the country to complete self-sufficiency,” Muttaqi said, adding that the government was also trying to utilize the capabilities of Afghan expatriates for the progress of the country.
The Islamic Emirate high-ranking officials have repeatedly called on the foreign -based Afghan expatriates to return to the country, put their investment in Afghanistan and utilize their capabilities for the development and progress of the country.
Previously, the ministry of economy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had said that the ministry has drafted a plan through which Afghan national traders and foreign investors would be provided with more facilities to invest in the country.
According to the ministry of economy, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) is supporting the private sector and wants the sector to be active and incentivized. The ministry has said that all facilities will be provided for the private sector, national traders and foreign investors to invest in the country. The ministry of economy is also working to launch some development projects to increase the domestic income in the country.
Meanwhile, the directorate of non-government organizations NGO,S has recently said that almost 2,200 national and foreign organizations are registered with the government and that at least 134 new organizations have been registered within the past six months.
This comes amid of increasing volume of trade between Afghanistan and three Central Asian republics as Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) indication has shown that the volume of the trade between Afghanistan and the Central Asian countries particularly Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan has unprecedentedly increased in current solar year.
According to ACCI, this year Afghanistan has exported goods to the Central Asian countries valued at around $33 million and imports have exceeded $2 billion, which shows increase in the volume of trade between Afghanistan and the Central Asian countries.
It is worth mentioning that Afghanistan is a landlocked country that relies on its neighbors to get access to international markets. Trade relations between Afghanistan with the neighboring countries particularly the Central Asian states are good, which helps Afghanistan boost its economic development. Samiullah Momand
