KABUL: The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mullah Hebbatullah Akhundzada, in a decree has ratified the regulation for prevention of land-usurpation and restitution of the usurped land in 4 chapters and 21 articles.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Leader has approved a commission’s regulation in 9 articles to prevent land-usurpation and restitution of the usurped land.
In the past few years, individuals and powerful people have usurped most ‘Sultani’ lands, public pastures and ‘Waqfi’ lands in different parts of Afghanistan and it’s the Islamic Emirate responsibility to return them; therefore, the IEA Supreme Leader has approved a commission to stop land usurpation in the country.
According to the decree, acting minister of justice will lead the commission and acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, acting Minister of Urban Development and Lands, acting Minister of Public Work and general attorney will be the commission’s members.
According to the first article of the decree, the respective commission is obliged to exercise the rules and regulation to restitute the usurped lands and public pastures and prevent from grapping the ‘Sultani’ land, public pastures and ‘Waqfi’ lands in the country.
Based on the 3rd article of the decree, a special court will be formed to address cases of the land-usurpation and make decision in accordance to the Islamic Sharia. Shaikh Mawlavi Abdul Ghafar has been named as head of the special court. The Kabul Times
