With the Islamic Emirate (IEA) takeover in mid-August 2021, the country has started to step towards self-sufficiency, dead and lost hopes have revived, the call for rebuilding, development, and progress has whispered in the ears and the real servants of the country have once again started to take charge and rule the country. Afghanistan possesses a wealth of nonfuel minerals whose value has been estimated at trillions of U.S. dollars. The country is rich in resources like copper, gold, oil, natural gas, uranium, bauxite, coal, iron ore, rare earth, lithium, chromium, lead, zinc, gemstones, talc, sulfur, travertine, gypsum and marble. But unfortunately, our people are the poorest people in the world and more than 50 percent of them live below the poverty line. In addition to not doing anything for the people, the country’s previous government has done nothing for the people. They have destroyed the basis of the country’s economy as today we witness that millions of Afghans are living in poverty. In the past 20 years, billions of dollars were granted to Afghanistan, and almost all international aid was pouring into the country one after the other. But, despite the fact that the previous government used to receive billions of dollars aid from the international community, nobody worked for this country as no considerable and fundamental work was done in the country. With the IEA takeover, fundamental work has been started across the country as lots of development projects have been started in the past two years. Afghanistan has now taken on a new color as we see that the bricks of rebuilding are being laid to renovate this war-divested country. With all the efforts that are underway for the development and progress of Afghanistan, hopes are increasing among the people particularly the country’s youth as they are the future of Afghanistan. All the efforts that have been started in the past two years are for the betterment of the country. Not only the ordinary Afghans but also the world has somehow praised the Islamic Emirate for its efforts that are being made for the development and self-sufficiency of Afghanistan. S. Raqib
