IEA acting ambassador for Qatar attends UN Day 2022 ceremony

KABUL: Acting Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for Doha, the capital of Qatar Dr. Mohammad Naeem, participated in the United Nations Day 2022 marked in that country, Afghanistan Embassy to Qatar said in a statement.
Dr. Ahmed bin Hassen Al Hammadi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign of Qatar, Ms. Maryam Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah, Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee, Salah Khalid, the UNESCO representative for the Gulf in Doha, officials and representatives of various departments of the United Nations and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar have attended the anniversary, the statement said.
Ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries, professors and academic personalities and journalists also participated in this meeting, according to the statement.
United Nations Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the UN officially came into being.
