Idrees Zaman officially introduced as deputy foreign minister for political affairs

VP Danesh introducing Idrees Zaman as Deputy Minister of Foreign for Political Affairs

KABUL: Idrees Zaman was introduced by Second Vice-President, Mohammad Sarwar Danesh, as Deputy Minister of Foreign for Political Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign said in a statement Saturday.
During a brief ceremony, while officially introducing Zaman as the deputy foreign minister, the country’s second vice-president lauded the ministry of foreign affairs for its tangible achievements over the last four years, the statement quoted.
“Afghanistan foreign policy, in relation to the international laws and regulations, was introducing the country and preservation of the national interests,” said Danesh adding, Afghanistan foreign policy should be led on five circles, which was drawn by the president, considering close relation and cooperation with the international community and the regional countries.
Based on the president’s suggestion, the quintuple circles were the Islamic countries, Europe, US, Canada and Japan as well as Asian countries and the big international organizations, which have been named as a framework in Afghanistan foreign policy, according to the statement.
Danesh hoped the strategic research center of the ministry of foreign could upgrade at the world countries strategic level.
Speaking on the occasion, acting foreign minister Salahuddin Rabbani said he would try his best to do more for the country’s national interests and to implement the vice-president’s instructions, said the statement.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed deputy foreign minister, Idrees Zaman assured that he will make effort to implement the vice-president’s instruction in capacity building and bringing reforms in the country’s diplomatic system.
