Hundreds of foreign tourists visited Ghazni in past months

GHAZNI: At least 293 foreign tourists have visited historical sites and places of the country’s central province of Ghazni within the past 11 months, the provincial Information and Culture Department said in a statement on Sunday. Director of the provincial information and culture department Mullah Hamidullah Nesar said 293 tourists from Russia, Iran, China, South Korea and European countries have visited historical sites, places and natural attractions of the province within the past 11 months, showing a significant increase compared to the previous year, according to the statement. Referring to the increase in the number of foreign tourists visiting the country’s historical sites and natural attrac tions, Mullah Nesar said that since the takeover of the country by the Islamic Emirate in mid-August 2021, tourism culture has increased across the country, especially in Ghazni province. Also, six tourists from England, Australia, India and America visited the historical monuments of the province in the past day. The Kabul Times
