Hundreds of development projects implemented in Logar in last year

PUL-I-ALAM: Hundreds of various development projects worth 94 million Afghani (some 1,095,035.61 U.S. dollars) have been implemented in the country’s eastern province of Logar in the last fiscal year, the provincial Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department said in a statement Tuesday Provincial Press Director of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department Sebghatullah Naibkhel said that the projects including 139 earth dams, over 40 meters of retaining walls and canals lengths over 70 meters with the financial support of international institutions have been implemented in various parts of the province in the past one year, according to the statement. “The development schemes have been implemented within 9 months, providing over 2,150 people with job opportunities in the province,” the statement quoted Naibkhel as saying.
