KABUL: A total of 650 Afghan refugees returned home from Pakistan in the past one day, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said in a statement the other day. “At least 650 Afghan refugees including 90 families returned home, Spinboldak ground port of the country’s southern province of Kandahar,” the statement said, adding that about 470 of them have been introduced to the provincial Agency of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for receiving necessary assistance. The number of Afghan refugees returning from the neighboring countries to the country has eye-catchingly increased in recent days; thousands of Afghan refugees had voluntarily or forcibly returned to their home country in the previous days, the statement added. Recently, 28 Afghan prisoners have been released from different prisons of Pakistan and returned to their country. The Kabul Times
