Human trafficking to be prevented, cabinet

KABUL: The cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan IEA was held with Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund on the chair, a statement from Arg said Wednesday.
At the outset, reports on various issues were shared with the meeting members and necessary instructions were issued to address the problems of the Afghans facing harsh condition in Iran, the statement said. The ministries of Labor and Social Affairs and Interior as well as the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) were tasked to investigate the main reason behind increasing poverty and street beggars in the Kabul city and take necessary steps to address the problem, according to the statement. In the meeting human trafficking and the Afghans conditions along the country’s border with the neighboring Iran have also been discussed and the Attorney General Office was directed to travel to Iran for assessing the issues of Afghan prisoners in that country.
The team led by the attorney general was also tasked to provide the return of the Afghan prisoners to the country, according to the statement. The Kabul Times
