KABUL: A helicopter of the Islamic Emirate Air Forces crashed after hitting power cables, leaving two of the country’s National Defense Ministry martyred, in the country’s northern province of Samangan, a statement from the ministry said Sunday. After hitting the electricity wires, the chopper type MD-530 while taking off from the Mazari-Sharif airport to Samangan province, crashed in Khulm district, as a result of which two pilots lost their lives, the statement said. After the takeover of the country by the Islamic Emirate and foreign forces’ withdrawal, most of the country’s military choppers and aircrafts had been cowardly destroyed by the U.S. forces. The technical teams of the country’s national defense ministry, spared no efforts to repair and activate most of them as well as other military vehicles in the country. The Kabul Times
