Health Minister seeking Turkish support for Afghan medical staff’s capacity building

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Public Health Dr. Qalander Ebad in a meeting, with Turkish ambassador, Cenk Onal asked the Turkish support in the capacity building of specialized medical staff, the ministry said in a statement the other day. Both sides discussed the enhancement of the specialized capacity of Afghan doctors and sustainable cooperation between Turkey and Afghanistan, the statement said. Calling the relations between the two countries important, Dr. Ebad praised the provision of specialized health care services by the Ataturk Children’s Hospital and the building of health facilities by the Turkish government in Jawzjan, Faryab, and Takhar provinces of the country, according to the statement. Meanwhile, Cenk Onal said that his country is committed to cooperate in the health sector with Afghanistan. The Kabul Times
