Hanafi, Turkish delegation discuss refugees, humanitarian issues

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, in a meeting with a Turkish delegation led by Atilla Toros, head of the Interior Ministry’s Directorate of Migration Management of that country, discussed refugees and humanitarian issues, Arg said in a statement the other day. Addressing the meeting, Mawlavi Hanafi urged the Islamic countries and aid organizations to assist Afghanistan in the provision of job opportunities inside the country and prevent the migration of youths to other countries, the statement said. Hanafi asked the Turkish government to pay attention to the problems of Afghan refugees to further strengthen relations between the two Islamic and friendly countries, the statement added. Meanwhile, Toros said that his country wants to invest in various sectors, including mining, energy and transportation in Afghanistan and assured the continuation of his country’s assistance to the people of Afghanistan.
