Shaheed Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour was committed to Afghans unity, Mujahid

According to the Islamic Emirate’s spokesman, Shaheed Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour believed that achieving peace was impossible under the occupation.

 

KABUL: The spokes man of the Islamic Emirate Zabihullah Mujahid, in a videotape, on the occasion of the 8th martyrdom anniversary of Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour said Tuesday that the former Amirul-Mumineen (the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate), was committed to the unity of the Afghans. Tuesday, 1st of Jawza (May 21) was the 8th anniversary of the martyrdom of Mul lah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour, the former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate. Shaheed Mullah Mansour was one of the three key figures who played a significant role in the strengthening of the Islamic Emirate after the occupation of the country, said Mujahid adding he [Shaheed Mansour] was committed and devoted to national unity in the country. According to the Islamic Emirate’s spokesman, Shaheed Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansour believed that achieving peace was impossible under the occupation. “It [peace] was only possible after the end of the occupation and the withdrawal of foreign forces that Afghans could interact and reconcile with each other.” Mullah Mansour, the second Supreme Leader of the Islamic Emirate, was martyred in an American drone strike eight years ago.
