Fourteen tons of steel-type construction low-quality materials returned to Iran, ANSA

KABUL: The Afghanistan National Standard Authority (ANSA) has returned 14 tons of steel-type construction materials to Iran in the past day, after assessing them as low-quality, the authority said in a statement Tuesday. The steel-type construction materials, after applying yield point and tensile strength tests didn’t meet the standards and returned through 78 ports of Farah to the Islamic Republic of Iran, the statement said. The National Standard Authority has recently taken necessary steps to prevent the import of low-quality oil, gas and construction materials into the country. Meanwhile, ANSA’s officials said no one would be allowed to import low-quality materials into the country and asked all national businessmen to import quality goods or they would face the law.
