Foreign tourists’ Bamyan visit increasing

BAMYAN: The number of foreign tourists visiting the historical sites of the country’s central province of Bamyan has increased over the past two months, a local official said Tuesday. “As many as 265 tourists from Italy, the U.S.A., Taiwan, China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Spain, Germany, Sweden, England and Russia have visited the historical sites and places of the province in the past two months, the statement quoted head of Tourism of the provincial Information and Culture Mohammad Din Muflih as saying. The provincial officials of the Information and Culture Directorate is making efforts to develop and provide a sound tourist industry to attract more tourists from world countries, said the statement. Meanwhile, a number of tourists have expressed their pleasure and happiness over hosting more tourists comparing to previous years, the statement added. Sure security and tourism facilities are the reason for increase in the number of tourists visiting Bamyan province this year. The Kabul Times
