KABUL: Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting with the ambassadors and representatives of the Central Asian countries, discussed issues including transit routes and railway, an official said the other day.
In the meeting, ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and representatives from Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan shared their points of views about the two countries relations and economic ties with the country’s acting Foreign Minister.
Muttaqi talked on bilateral relations, economic ties between Afghanistan and the Central Asian nations and stressed the need for using the available opportunities for the benefit of the region, said the statement.
Meanwhile, ambassadors of the Central Asian countries assured further cooperation to boost trade, transit, railways and energy saying good diplomatic ties are of the mutual interest with Afghanistan.
