KABUL: Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi left for Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan yesterday, to attend an international conference organized on Afghanistan, a spokesman of the country’s foreign ministry said the other day.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Muttaqi will brief the participants of the conference on the situation in Afghanistan, Hafiz Zia Ahmad said on his Twitter account.
Uzbekistan is to host a two-day international conference that will open on Monday [today], with the participation of regional countries and international organizations.
They will focus on the situation in Afghanistan, security, peace and economic development of the region.
