KABUL: Five road-building projects, some of them, launched few months ago, have been completed and inaugurated in the capital Kabul, the Kabul Municipality said the other day.
During a ceremony attended by the Kabul Mayor Mawlavi Abdul Rashid, Minister of Higher Education, Shaikh Neda Mohammad Nadim, Deputy Information and Culture Minister Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, Enamullah Samangani head of Government Media and Information Center (GMIC), Belal Karimi deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate and the political member of the Islamic Emirate in Qatar, three of the five projects have been completed and inaugurated.
The inaugurated projects included construction of roads in Bagrami Textile, Karta-e-Naw, street 15th of Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan-Shirpoor which have been completed from the direct budget of the Kabul Municipality with the cost of 71 million Afghanis, according to the statement.
Also, work on the building of road the Security Project to Qala-e-Zaman Khan, new connecting road from Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan to Qala-e-Musa and Bibi Mahru, has been started, the statement said.
