First win of Afghanistan against Pakistan in T20I Cricket

KABUL: Afghanistan has made history after beating Pakistan for the first time ever in the T20 game of the 3-match series in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Afghanistan cricket team registered a significant win by 6 wickets over Pakistan. This is the first time Afghanistan defeats Pakistan, the runnerup of the T20 World Cup 2022.
Former skipper Mohammad Nabi, who was recalled for the First win of Afghanistan against Pakistan in T20I Cricket three-match series, and Najibullah Zadran guided their side to a historic six-wicket win at the Sharjah
Cricket Association Stadium. Electing to bat first, Pakistan was restricted to 92 for 9, with Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi and Fazalhaq Farooqi bagging two scalps each for Afghanistan. Azmatullah Omarzai, Naveenul- Haq and Rashid Khan took one wicket apiece in the low-scoring game at a track that assisted spinners and quickies alike.

Nabi smashed an unbeaten 38 to hand Afghanistan their first-ever victory against the opposition. He whacked a towering six over midoff to see the hosts seal a convincing win.
Nabi and Najibullah Zadran, however, mixed caution and aggression to forge a match-winning partnership. Skipper Rashid Khan, elated by the emphatic win, gave his team full marks for holding their nerves and playing [positive cricket.
Declared Player of the Match, Mohammad Nabi, who was declared man of the match, said that batting on the Sharjah surface was a tricky proposition. However, he was determined to bat till the end and helped Afghanistan achieve the modest target in 17.5 overs.
