First-ever cardiac surgical ward inaugurated in 400-bed hospital, ministry

KABUL: For the first time a Cardiac Surgical Ward, in an official ceremony has been inaugurated in the Shahid Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan Hospital (400-bed hospital), the Ministry of National Defense (MoD) said in a statement Friday. The ceremony was attended by Shaikh Mohammad Qasim Farid, Deputy Director of Planning and Policy of the ministry and several officials of the health command of the armed forces, the statement said. Shaikh Farid said that due to the special attention of the ministry, many complex operations are successfully implemented at the level of neighboring countries in the hospital, according to the statement. Appreciating the efforts and activities of the officials and doctors of the health command of the armed forces, Shaikh Farid pledged to cooperate in handling and solving their suggestions and problems.
